The organization of the Gramado Festival announces that, due to the climate tragedy that is affecting Rio Grande do Sul, registrations for the Legislative Assembly of Cinema Award – Mostra Gaúcha de Shorts and for the Mostra de Longas-Gaúchos at the Film Festival of Gramado were extended and will close on May 26th.
Interested parties have until 11:59 pm on May 26th to fill out the registration form, available at https://inscricoescinema.com.br. All the rules and criteria for participating in the selection are set out in the regulations, available on the Festival website (www.festivaldecinemadegramado.com).
“We know that the situation in the state at this moment is delicate. Mainly for cultural professionals. We are extending our registration period for Rio Grande do Sul cinema with the aim of providing filmmakers with enough time to complete their films”, comments Rosa Helena Volk, president of Gramadotur, the municipal authority responsible for the Festival.
The short films from Rio Grande do Sul compete in 11 categories: Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Direction, Best Script, Best Photography, Best Editing, Best Art Direction, Best Music, Best Sound Editing and Best Executive Production. The feature films compete for ten Kikitos: Best Film, Best Direction, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Photography Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, Best Sound Design and Best Musical Score.
The 52nd Gramado Film Festival takes place between the 9th and 17th of August.
