The Official Commission for the Bicentenary of German Immigration in RS, chaired by Mr. Rafael Gessinger, through HMF Mídias Digitais, Jornalismo e Cultura, in partnership with Ruimara Stein Produções, Valkyria Filmes and CineBancários, holds a session in celebration of the bicentenary of German immigration, in July 29th at 8pm, at CineBancários, in Porto Alegre.
The event will begin with the presentation of two documentaries, “Fremd – O Estrangeiro”, about German immigration and the situation of immigrants in contemporary Brazil, and “Ivoti, The Garden of German Immigration – 200 Years of History and Legacy”. After the films, debates will be held with authorities and artists in two panels.
The first panel of the night, “Celebration of the bicentenary and discussion on the migration issue in the world, yesterday and today”, will feature the president of the Official Bicentennial Commission, Rafael Gessinger, the German consul Marc Bogdahn, director Ruimara Stein and cultural producer Patrícia Affonso, representative of the Ministry of Culture (MinC). The second panel, “Investments and panorama in the reconstruction of audiovisual in RS”, will feature the coordinator of the Office of the Ministry of Culture (MinC) in RS, the journalist and cultural producer Mari Martinez, the producer and director of cinema from Rio Grande do Sul Beto Rodrigues, from Panda Filmes, representing FUNDACINE/RS, and Rafael Gessinger, president of the Official Commission for the Bicentenary of German Immigration in RS.
